One of the hallmarks of IMAC is the depth of our membership, representing a diverse
lineage of martial arts instruction. Through our membership, we are able to provide
testing and rank advancement of instructors who for various reasons are unable to
advance in their given style or system.
Each year at our National Training Camp, prospective instructors will present themselves
to representatives from the Grandmaster’s Council for pre-testing on Thursday night.
Those who complete this requirement will be presented to the full Council on Friday
evening for review and final consideration.
Testing before the Grandmaster’s Council is a great honor, and for many is the highlight
of their weekend at the National Training Camp.
For those who are unable to attend, testing and rank advancement may be facilitated
by coordination with the IMAC National Office. Either through sending an IMAC representative
to your locale, or having you visit one of our member schools, we are often able
to provide testing and rank advancement for those who are without a senior instructor
or for other reasons, unable to advance in a given system.
IMAC respects and honors the lineage of its members and provide testing and rank
advancement to those who are otherwise unable to advance in their given system. We
do not “sell” rank. It is earned through time and grade.
