Charles Scott Sensei

Dr Dr. Charles L. Scott, graduate of Eastern Illinois University, B.S. physical education, minor in health education, 1970. Graduate school, Eastern Illinis University, in counseling, 1971. Master degree, graduate school, University of Alaska, Education Administration. Doctorate of Science from Great Land Bible College in Martial Arts Management, with an emphasis on Oriental Religious Philosophy. Mr. Scott has attended Tawa Valley College, City University of Tacoma, and Weber State of Utah.
Dr. Scott has earned high ranking black belts in Shudo Kan Karate under Dr. Brownridge, Gosoku Ryu Karate under Soke Kubota, Tae Kwon Do with Parks, U.S.M.A., Hakaku Jiu Jitsu under Dr. Brownridge, Kobudo with the U.S.M.A., Kung Fu under Dr. Brownridge and Mr. Peter Chow, Yoshinkan Aikido with U.S.M.A., Certified Defensive Tactics instructor with Defensive Tactics Institute under Mr. John Peters and Soke Kubota. Dr. Scott has also studied Tai Chi Chuan (Siju) under Mr. Jackson. Dr. Scott has studied and performed both ballet and jazz dance, and has won several body building championships.
Dr. Scott taught physical and health education to Junior and Senior high school students, has been Acting Principal, Vice-Principal, and Principal. Dr. Scott continues to serve as Safety Officer for all schools in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
Dr. Scott is in the Alaska Hall of Fame for both wrestling and coaching. He is also in the Alaska Karate Hall of Fame.
Dr. Scott has placed in both National and World Karate Championships in the USA, Toronto, and Italy. Dr. Scott has been consistent in training and competing since 1964, and is on the board for the U.S.M.A. and the I.K.A.
